2010 Awards
At our May 2010 meeting The Zonta Club of Long Island presented service awards to:
· Long Island Fund for Women and Girls
· Momma's House
· Coalition Against Domestic Violence
· Gateway Youth Outreach
A check was also presented to the INN (Interfaith Nutrition Network) for the proceeds of our May garage sale,along with a "Welcome Basket" that the INN can give to a family. Items in the "Welcome Basket" were donated by our members.
A Zonta*ship was awarded to Tabor House Retreat Center for the program they are doing with Haitian women.
Awards to Zonta International Funds were also presented to support the work of Zonta International programs.
The new 2010-2012 Officers were installed by Area Director Leslie Wright.
